We had a laugh with New Woman 1997. Have you listened to the episode yet?

We couldn’t help noticing how extremely horny this magazine seemed to be. And not just the editorial, the adverts too all seemed to be making innuendos or using sexual images to flog products… which shouldn’t be a surprise because, as the adage goes, “sex sells” but I think we had forgotten quite how overtly sexualised these ads used to be. These days it’s a lot more about evoking a feeling than openly giving you the old nudge-nudge-wink-wink.
