Feature # 1: Poor little rich girls
Why is it so hard for successful, wealthy women to meet a man? Here, we are introduced to five single women who are crushing it at work (well, four who are crushing it at work, plus one heiress – we are still in the UK, after all) to explore whether having more money is off-putting for men. This feature felt extremely “of its time”, both economically and in terms of gender politics – reminiscent of Ally McBeal and tagline Channel 4 used to market it in the late 90s: “single, successful, and falling apart”.
